The perfect hotel and style for a summer vacation in Malibu
CITY MEETS BEACH, LIFESTYLE AND SPORT: THE VIBE AND THE LIFESTYLE OF THE SURFRIDER HOTEL IN MALIBU OSCILLATE BETWEEN RELAXED, COOL AND SUPER COSY. THIS IS EXACTLY HOW THE PERFECT OUTFIT FOR THIS SCENERY HAS TO BE
The scent of cedar, sun, sea and a pinch of fresh laundry is what you get when you drive up the nostalgic driveway of the "Surfrider Hotel Malibu". Coming from iconic Highway 1 (which in the Los Angeles area is only called PCH - short for "Pacific Coast Highway"), you already have a feeling of happiness in your stomach.
This is immediately enhanced by the meeting with hostess and co-owner Emma Crowther. Under her leadership, the motel from the 1950s was completely renovated and converted into a small boutique hotel oasis with 20 rooms, all of them with a balcony overlooking the sea. Light wood, linen, wicker, oleander and an almost Scandinavian minimalism dominate the look.
The warmth and the delicious menu (all ingredients are grown sustainably, locally and organically), on the other hand, are generous. The roof terrace with the restaurant is open all day.
Our tip: After a surfing lesson with your own board and wetsuit, enjoy a Hot Toddy at the romantic fireplace. Life is a Beach.
