What outfit should I wear when I’ve gained some weight? What outfit can I wear after putting on some weight? First and foremost: don’t panic! It happens to all of us. Stressful exams, Christmas time, the end of winter. You know what I mean. There simply are moments in life when we get a little out of control with the way we eat and it’s perfectly fine. It’s called: being human.
All we need to know is how to transition from a slightly curvier body back to our normal “real” body! Take, for example, my most feared month of the year: April! Everything is in bloom, the birds are singing their hearts out again and the weather is getting milder. All while I am joyfully planning how to wear the fabulous cropped top and other spring staples I bought last year just to realize that, unfortunately, I may have to wait a little before showing some skin. I've gained weight!

Well, of course as women, when we gain weight, it mostly tends to be in these two areas! A great way to hide a little belly is to wear an ultra feminine flounce top and pair it for example with a stylish straight maxi skirt. Anything too tight would only make you feel uncomfortable and self-conscious. You want to feel good about yourself, even with a couple kilos more and enjoy the gift of femininity. After all, real women have real curves. So enjoy it while it lasts. Slip or wrap dresses are also the way to go with extra curves. A jacket or a cardigan is a great layer to take with you just in case it gets a little chilly.

You don’t have to wear black from head to toe, you can also choose navy blue, brown, grey, khaki green. The trick is to opt for clean cuts: a fitted blouse, a tailored trouser and a refined jacket will create an ultra polished look. Curves always look good in such an outfit and this is why this ensemble is your perfect work companion!
Do not despair, there are many outfits to wear that still flaunt what you have in spite of a little extra weight. The warm weather is around the corner and as soon as you get back into movement, bike rides, swimming and running after the long and lazy winter days, you'll see the pounds melting away effortlessly.
