Pedicure instructions for men in 6 steps
Not only the hands should be cared for, but the feet as well. This is how to get your toenails into shape:
Step 1: Cut the toenails
Toenails, especially in men, are usually so thick that you need a clipper to cut them. Please note: always snap diagonally never straight. The toenails should then protrude beyond the nail beds, but not over the toes.
Step 2: Round off the corners with a file
So that you won't cut your socks, use a coarse sandblade or micro-crystal file to file the edges round and smooth. Above all, you should round off the corners, but don't file too far down, otherwise the nails can grow in.
Step 3: Balance the cuticle
It's the same with the feet as it is with the hands: push instead of cutting. Gently push cuticles back with a rosewood stick. It's easiest after taking a bath or showering, when the skin is still soft. Tip: If you push back the cuticle regularly once or twice a week after showering with your thumbnail, it never proliferates over the nails and you can save yourself this step.
Step 4: Remove dirt under the toenails
As with the hands, use the tip of the file to remove dirt under the nails. Start again on the outside, push the dirt inward and carefully remove it.
Step 5: Polish the toenails
Grooves and rough spots on the nail surface can be easily removed with a buffer or a polishing file. Drive gently but steadily over the surface of the nail so that the nails lose their dull appearance and shine lightly.
Step 6: Maintain the feet
Finally, you should massage the whole foot with a rich cream while not leaving out the cuticle. Tip: If you put foot creme on your feet every night before going to sleep, you can count on significantly less calluses in the long run.
