Coachella Outfit - The festival season begins!
When it comes to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, I do not know where to start. Everyone wants to be there and everyone wants to be part of it. Every year, the tickets are fought for and many people do not hesitate to be there, no matter the cost.
For all, who are interested but have no idea what it's all about, here is a short briefing.
As of 1993, the open air festival in Indio Coachella Valley, California takes place. Since 1999, it has been held annually and is one of the world's biggest festivals. The hippy-inspired outfits are also typical of the scene.
It has become well-known all over the world, not only by its performers, but by the audience that has become famously celebritized over the years. One of the highlights, I think, was when one of the world's largest fashion houses released their own collection to celebrate the coveted annual event.
The festival takes place this year in April from the 14th-16th and 21st-23rd, but the tickets have been sold out for months. There is much to hear and see there, from rock to hip hop and electro, there is something for every musical taste. Sculptures are exhibited and something I find exemplary is that the organizers attach great importance to order, recycling and sustainability. There are several eco-initiatives.
But now we come to my favourite part, the fashion, It is almost as important as the performances. Where many celebrities meet, money plays no role and the goal is to out-do each other. If you want to know, who is wearing the best outfit, then this is the place to be. From top models to Hollywood legends, everything is buzzing in the crowd. You want to watch Leonardo DiCaprio dance embarrassingly to the music of Rihanna and Guns N 'Roses? Or you want to see how top model, Alessandra Ambrosia, dances the limbo with her friends? You'll be on show, if you get a ticket!
The dress code is actually simple: the more hippie, the better. I’ve been at the festival twice and each time I felt a feeling of 70s peace, love and happiness, like never before. The fashion is colourful, fun and a lot of skin is on show - no wonder with the dreamy weather and constant temperature of almost 30 degrees.
I've put together the craziest, best and strangest styles from the Coachella Valley. The fashionable keywords every year are: Hawaii, 70s, Psychedelic, Comic Prints, Bohemian, Peace and Music and everything is reflected in every outfit. Here we go …..Here is top model, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, in a great look. Almost stuffy for the Coachella festival, but I think it has class.
With the shoulder bag and the color-coordinated sunglasses, I think the outfit is très chic.
Mega blogger, Chiara, is present every year and with this style and perfect backpack, she is right on fashion Olympus.
To create the 70s peace look, you do not need to spend a fortune. Just do like actress, Vanessa Hudgens, and pull on a kaftan with prints, a flower in your hair, some self-tufted arm bands and you are the queen of Coachella.
Whoever believes that the men are more relaxed and the clothing more decent is mistaken, as they spontaneously storm the stage with only an umbrella, a beer and in swimwear?
Whether you like Bohemian Style, Gypsy Clothing or the Hippy Look, one thing is certain: fun and a joy for life. I think this hair trend is glamorous and carefree at the same time. Please try and re-create.
I guess the mantra for every Boho bae out there is:
“I’d rather wear flowers or feathers in my hair than diamonds around my neck“
The festival season begins!
